After a summer that produced heavy weather conditions for the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta and windless conditions a couple of weeks later, not untypical of the whole summer really, the ROPG met in mid-September to review the summer just past and assess the issues that remain pertinent to the hosting of racing in Ireland.
Since that meeting took place, the Kish Race, the traditional close to the summer season on the south side of Dublin Bay, saw forty-plus boats enjoyed sunshine and a mix of wind conditions to close out their racing calendars ....
