Eve McMahon is a leading talent on the international ILCA 6 circuit. From a young age she established herself as a standout sailor, finishing her time in the youth fleet with a “Triple Crown” of Under 21 World Championships before going on the qualify Ireland for the Women’s Dinghy competition in the Paris 2024 Olympics. 

2025 marked a standout season for McMahon and included a Grand Slam Gold at the Los Angeles Olympic Classes Regatta and Silver at the Sailing Grand Slam Final. The year was ultimately defined by her historic Bronze Medal at the ILCA 6 World Championships in Qingdao, China, Ireland’s first in the class, followed by a World Sailing Ranking of No. 1, another national first.

Eve was awarded the Rising Star Award at the Team Ireland Olympic Awards in 2025 as well as Irish Sailing’s Sailor of the Year 2023 an International Sailor 2025. Eve was the Irish Times Sportswoman of the Month for April 2026. She has won UCD’s Sportsperson of the Year and was nominated for RTE’s Young Sportsperson of the Year on numerous occasions. She is from Howth Co. Dublin, and currently studying Commerce International at UCD.
