New COO for Irish Sailing

New COO for Irish Sailing

Irish Sailing announces new COO.

Irish Sailing is delighted to announce that Sarah-Louise Rossiter has been appointed to a new role of COO at Irish Sailing.

After an extensive, open search and selection process with over 60 applicants from all over the country, Sarah-Louise, as the only internal candidate, prevailed.

Sarah-Louise has been the Racing Manager at Irish Sailing, since she joined in 2015 and we are confident that she will bring her enthusiasm and expertise to this new role.

Sarah-Louise has been in the marine industry for many years, having qualified as a deck officer in the Merchant Navy with a degree in Nautical Science, as well as being a powerboat and sailing instructor and multi-disciplined race official for many years. She has spent her life on the sea both personally and professionally.

The Chief Operations Officer is a new role to Irish Sailing, whilst common amongst sporting NGBs, with the strategic objective of leading and managing national operational activities in order improve services to Irish Sailing’s member Clubs, Training centres, Classes, Regional and National Bodies and individual members.

Irish Sailing is grateful for Sarah-Louise’s previous contributions to the team and to the sport and is excited to see the work she will do in her new position to make it a success.

Irish Sailing and the sailing community will wish her the very best of luck.
