RORC's Toughest Race

Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland

The 1,805 nautical mile Round Britain and Ireland race is considered to be one of the toughest challenges in the sport of yacht racing and is underway and as we write they are heading for the Irish coast.

8 Aug 2022 Irish Sailing Women in Sailing Mentor, Pamela Lee, is sailing with owner Andrea Fornano on the Class 40 Influence and currently sat in 6th place, while Pip Hare of Medallia is leading the fleet. Influence won 1st place in the Class 40 SSE Rewables Round Ireland and 3rd Line Honours. You can follow the Yellow Brick tracker  here http://yb.tl/rbni2022

11 Aug 2022 Due to the exceptionally light winds and slow progress Influence has had to retire from the race and head back to Cherbourg. Medallia remains 1st Line Honours.
