We are very pleased to announce that we have been successful in our applications for funding under Sport Ireland’s Sport Resilience Funding scheme. Sailing along with all sport has proven resilient under the Covid-19 restrictions and shown how important it is to the health and wellbeing of the nation as well as our economy. This funding underscores and acknowledges the vital role of sailing and all sports in emerging from this crisis, and we welcome this funding which will prove so important in the coming months.
Harry Hermon, CEO of Irish Sailing said “we are delighted with this news. We have been working closely with our member clubs to ensure the success of their applications, and we look forward to continuing this work and supporting our members as we start to emerge from restrictions. The months ahead will be challenging and we thank Sport Ireland for their foresight and belief in our sports”.
More details of the funding will be sent by Sport Ireland in the coming weeks, and we will communicate these along with the terms and conditions to successful clubs.
