In what has been the most unusual AGM in Irish Sailing’s history, David O’Brien took over as the incoming President, from Jack Roy. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the AGM was attended only by Jack Roy and Harry Hermon with the quorum being achieved through proxy appointments from Clubs.
The AGM also saw the retirement of Paddy McGlade and Sarah Byrne, both of whom had served their 5 year term on the Board. Jack Roy expressly thanked them for their work and commitment over the period, as he did with all of the Board members who contributed during his term as President.
New directors elected were Andrew Bradley nominated by the Royal Irish YC, and Sue Concannon nominated by Killaloe SC.
