The Nominees
The Irish Sailing Senior Instructor of the Year
Given in recognition of exceptional instructor management abilities and skills. Each of these nominees has won in their own region and has been put forward for the overall award:
- Evan Jones (Killaloe Sailing Club), winner of the Western Region.
- Sam Hennessy (Wicklow Sailing Club), winner of the Eastern Region.
- Ruairí Brown (Glandore Harbour Yacht Club), winner of the South Region.
The Irish Sailing Inclusion Award

This award is given to highlight some of the outstanding work that is done all over the country by volunteers who develop and support participation opportunities for people with all types of abilities so that they can experience sailing.
The Irish Sailing Sustainability Award

This award was introduced last year, and is given to recognise the work, investment and energy of organisations dedicated to reducing the impact our sports have on the environment.
- Bray Sailing Club
- The National Yacht Club
The Irish Sailing Youth Sailor of the Year
Awarded to the young sailor under the age of 18 who shows outstanding achievement in youth sailing, and who has represented Ireland at the highest levels of international competition. We have three nominees:
- Tom Higgins (Royal St George YC)
- Eve McMahon (Howth YC)
- Rocco Wright (Howth YC)
The Irish Sailing Training Centre of the Year
One of our most popular awards of the night – each of the training centres in this category have won Training Centre of the Year within their own region, and have been put forward for the overall award of Training Centre of the Year. The award is given in recognition of outstanding services to training and to the Training Centre that has shown both creativity and purpose when it comes to training programmes and enticing both young and old onto sailing programmes. The nominees are:
- Galway Bay Sailing Club (Western Region winner)
- Malahide Yacht Club (Eastern Region winner)
- The Oysterhaven Centre (Southern Region winner)

The Irish Sailing President’s Award
Given by Irish Sailing President, Jack Roy, to recognise a person for their contribution to our sports, and someone who embodies the spirit of sailing.
