Irish Sailing Club Members are Invited to go Cruising with the Cruising Association of Ireland
The Irish Sailing Pathfinder Women at the Helm regatta is Ireland's first event to combine Racing and Cruising sailing.
The event is an opportunity for women to set a new goal for themselves or to simply enjoy the fun of sailing together and encourage a move from shore to boat, crew to helm or club to regional event. Female helms currently stand out from the crowd and we want ot help change that and encourage women to take the helm.
The Cruising Association of Ireland are proud to be part of the unique event and invite all yachts, keelboats and motorboats to join our Cruise in Company out into Dublin Bay. We will go with the wind and either head for Dalkey Island and Killiney Bay or head across towards Ireland's Eye. We hope to drop anchor for a cuppa or a dip.
Boats entering must have women on board and ensure they take the helm during the cruise. Boats are requested to welcome one or two extra crew to join them and give newcomers and "non racing" sailors a chance to join in the celebrations and "take the helm".
Spaces for crew are available for FREE to Irish Sailing Club members. Spaces are limited to availability on cruising boats registered, first in, first on.
All crew asked to come with packed lunch for the day - toggs and swimming optional :)
