Irish Sailing has once again set aside a fund to support professional coaching activities to assist in increasing racing participation for Irish Sailing affiliated classes, other than Olympic and Pathway classes. Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis as funds are limited due to budgetary constraints.
The engagement of an Irish Sailing coach from the list of eligible coaches is required under the scheme to help grow and develop the Irish Coaching infrastructure to the benefit of all sailors.
A grant of up to €200 will be awarded for the use of a non-approved coach and up to €400 for the use of an approved coach.
The grant is subject to conditions and full details are available here … Irish Sailing Class Coaching 2018 Information – Updated 2 March 2018.
Please Note: It is now a requirement for all Irish Sailing Coaches to have their Safeguarding, Garda Vetting, First Aid and National Powerboat Cert. The approved list changes daily as these certificates are received and registered, so if you need to check if your coach is approved please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any changes to syllabus, law or influences that effect training centres, clubs and classes
will be posted as OFFICIAL Notices or TRAINING NOTICES and listed here.
