Irish Sailing is asking clubs to review their membership renewal processes ahead of the rollout of its new Member Management System, with a focus on gathering essential member information and meeting data compliance requirements.
The upcoming 2027 membership renewal season provides an opportunity for clubs to ensure they are collecting the information required to support the new system, as well as GDPR and Sport Ireland reporting requirements. Clubs should ensure their renewal forms capture the following details for all members, including adults and children:

Email address
-
Date of birth
-
Gender
-
Phone number
Having these details in place will help prepare clubs for the system rollout and support a smoother transition. The project has now entered the vendor selection and contract phase. System development, rollout and data migration will follow, beginning with three pilot clubs before extending to all remaining clubs. The project team will be in touch with clubs to begin the preparation process. In the meantime, clubs are encouraged to review their existing membership forms and make any necessary updates.
