The Cruising Association of Ireland (CAI) will bring members together for its inaugural Autumn Awards Dinner on Saturday 24 October 2026 at Howth Yacht Club. The new event brings together awards and prize presentations that have traditionally taken place across several events throughout the year, providing an opportunity to recognise the achievements and contributions of CAI members in one dedicated evening.
Awards will include the Fitzpatrick Salver, along with prizes recognising achievements in areas including seamanship, leadership, significant cruises and progress by a beginner. The CAI is also establishing an Awards Committee to oversee future awards and competitions. The committee will have three members, including one member of the main CAI committee, and is inviting interested CAI members to get involved.
The organisation hopes to introduce awards for its Photography Competition at the autumn event in future years, although this will not be possible in 2026. Further details, including the menu, ticket price and timings, will be announced by the CAI when confirmed. Read more here.
