Irish Sailing is delighted to invite all members to the inaugural Women on the Water Wavemakers Forum, taking place at Lough Derg Yacht Club on Sunday, 8th November. The forum will bring women from across the sailing community together to connect, share experiences and explore ways to support and grow women’s participation in sailing. Whether your club has an established Women on the Water programme or is just beginning to explore ways to grow female participation, the forum will provide an opportunity to share ideas and practical approaches.
Through guest speakers, interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, we will explore ways to attract more women into sailing and support them to stay involved throughout different stages of life. The day will begin with registration, tea, coffee and informal networking from 11:00am, with the forum getting underway at 12:00pm. Following lunch, members will share their experiences and highlight the positive impact women are having in their clubs and communities. The event will conclude at 4:00pm.
