The Irish Cruiser Racing Association (ICRA) is inviting expressions of interest from sailing clubs across Ireland to host the 2028 National ICRA Championships.
Racing will be conducted under both IRC Rating and the ECHO Handicap system. Clubs considering submitting a bid are encouraged to review the ICRA guidelines for hosting the event, as well as examples of recent National Championships hosted in conjunction with major sailing events, including Cork Week 2026 and Sovereign’s Cup 2025.
An ICRA Sub-Committee has been established to assess the expressions of interest and select the 2028 venue based on what it considers to be in the best long-term interests of promoting cruiser racing. The hosting guidelines and further information are available on the ICRA website.
Clubs wishing to submit a bid should email info@cruiserracing.ie by 12:00 on Monday 28 September 2026.
