West Cork is once again the place to be as Calves Week has officially got underway, with Schull Harbour Sailing Club welcoming a strong fleet of cruiser racers for one of Ireland's most popular sailing regattas.
Competitors enjoyed near-perfect conditions on day two, with Race Officer Alan Crosbie sending the fleet through Long Island Sound before rounding the iconic Fastnet Rock to port and returning to Schull Harbour for the finish. The spectacular course showcased some of the finest sailing waters on Ireland's south-west coast.
Calves Week has long been a highlight of the Irish sailing calendar, attracting competitors from across the country for a week of competitive racing and renowned West Cork hospitality.
