The 2026 Quintas Capital Calves Week will take place in Schull, West Cork from 4 to 7 August 2026, with strong interest building ahead of this year’s four day cruiser racing event. More than half of the expected fleet has already entered, with 38 boats registered and organisers anticipating a fleet of more than 70 boats.
The regatta will feature seven class fleets, including spinnaker and white sail divisions, bringing together a wide range of cruiser racers from across Ireland and beyond. The fleet includes boats of different designs and generations, from the 1902 gaff cutter Lady Min to John Treanor’s NDM 43 Cristina.
Racing will take place across Roaringwater Bay and among Carbery’s Hundred Isles, providing competitors with a combination of competitive sailing and the opportunity to experience one of Ireland’s most scenic sailing areas. Away from the water, the event will include a full social programme with daily prizegivings, sponsor receptions at Schull Harbour Hotel and evening entertainment on Schull’s Main Street.
Calves Week continues to be a key event in the Irish cruiser racing calendar, bringing together sailors, families and the wider sailing community for a celebration of racing, participation and sailing in West Cork.
