The Royal Cork Yacht Club, the world’s oldest yacht club, based in Royal Cork Yacht Club, will host Cork Week 2026 from 6-10 July, drawing sailors and spectators from across the globe to the harbour village of Crosshaven. More than 120 boats and around 6,000 participants and visitors are expected, turning the area into a vibrant hub of international sailing.
On the water, the programme features major highlights including the Etchells European Championships and the Irish Cruiser Racing Association Championships, alongside the Harbour Race and the Beaufort Cup, which includes an overnight Fastnet course. Ashore, the atmosphere will be equally lively, with live music, après-sail events, markets, and family entertainment running throughout the week.
A Family Day on 5 July will kick things off with face painting, games, and coastal activities, while nearby attractions such as Camden Fort Meagher and local walking trails will offer additional ways to explore the area. Viewing points across Cork Harbour, including Cobh and Ringaskiddy, will give spectators sweeping views of the racing.
Food and drink options will be available daily at the waterfront, alongside evening dining in the RCYC dining room. Transport links from Cork City will help visitors reach the event easily.
The week concludes with prizegiving and a closing celebration on 10 July. Full details are available at Cork Week 2026, and updates are shared via Cork Week on Twitter.
