From north to south and east to west, accredited Clubs and Training Centres are open and welcoming new participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you are looking for a new hobby, or are ready to progress your skills further, there are structured pathways of support. Courses are available for children, teenagers and adults, and it is never too late to start.
Irish Sailing training is designed to support steady progression across all disciplines, with clear levels, practical experience, and logbook development forming part of the journey. Below is a simple breakdown of the courses available this summer and the progression levels within each discipline.
SMALL BOAT SAILING SCHEME (SBSS)
This scheme develops core sailing ability, boat handling, and racing and navigation skills across dinghies and small keelboats.
