As part of Irish Sailing's commitment to improving the learner experience and supporting quality progression pathways, all evaluation fees for the Irish Sailing Passport have now been removed.
We believe every learner should have access to a high-quality skills tracking system that supports their development, regardless of where they learn. The Passport allows instructors and learners to record progress, track competency development, and provide meaningful feedback throughout a sailor's journey.
As the summer season gets underway, Irish Sailing is encouraging all Training Centres and instructors to ensure that every learner is provided access to the Irish Sailing Passport and given the opportunity to benefit from structured progression tracking and instructor feedback.
Training Centres should also take this opportunity to review their Passport accounts and confirm that access permissions are up to date ahead of the busy season. By searching for "Evaluator" within your account, you can quickly identify which instructors currently have access to learners within your programmes.
Any Evaluator permissions assigned to instructors who are no longer working within your organisation should be removed, while access should be granted to appropriately qualified new team members as required.
Evaluators play an important role within the Passport system. They can record and track learner progression through the syllabus, add development notes and feedback, and access key participant information including names and emergency contact details. Ensuring these permissions are accurate helps maintain both the quality of the learner experience and the security of participant data.
A few minutes spent reviewing your account now will help ensure your programmes are ready to support sailors of all ages as they progress through their Irish Sailing journey this summer.
