Irish Sailing’s next Senior Instructor Course will take place on 8 June, providing experienced instructors with the opportunity to progress into leadership roles within Irish Sailing Training Centres.
The Senior Instructor qualification is a key part of the Irish Sailing training structure and is a requirement at every recognised Training Centre. Senior Instructors play an important role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of training programmes, maintaining instructional and safety standards, mentoring instructor teams, and helping ensure participants receive a high-quality experience both afloat and ashore.
Importantly, the Senior Instructor qualification is also the only instructor qualification within the system that permits instructors to independently deliver Irish Sailing courses without direct supervision.
For instructors looking to take the next step in their development pathway, the course represents an important milestone in building leadership skills, professionalism and responsibility within the training environment.
With the summer season now underway, demand for qualified Senior Instructors remains high across clubs and centres nationwide.
