LAST REMAINING PLACES ON SUBSIDISED VOYAGES FOR 2026

Sail Training Ireland has announced a limited number of remaining places on a series of upcoming voyages this season, offering a fantastic opportunity for young people and adults to get involved in sail training at a significantly reduced cost.

These voyages, typically valued at around €1,000 per person, are heavily subsidised by the charity, with places now available from just €200–€350. The aim is to make offshore sailing experiences more accessible while giving participants the chance to build confidence, teamwork skills and a real connection to life at sea.

Available voyages include:

  • A Youth Adventure Voyage (ages 14–17) aboard the Tall Ship Maybe, sailing from Belfast to Dublin from 4–8 May (€300)

  • A Galway-based U18 voyage on the Ilen from 26–30 May (€350)

  • A Galway Bursary Voyage for ages 18–30 on the Ilen from 8–12 June (€350)

  • A SAIL 2026 Mixed Abilities Voyage (18+) on the Tall Ship Maybe, sailing from Dún Laoghaire from 11–15 May (€200)

These voyages are open to a wide range of participants, with no prior sailing experience required. The mixed abilities voyage also provides an inclusive environment for adults to take part alongside a friend, carer or support person if needed.

With limited spaces remaining, early booking is strongly advised. For further details or to secure a place, visit Sail Training Ireland or contact info@sailtrainingireland.com.
