ROUND IRELAND EARLY BIRD ENTRY NOW OPEN

Entries are now open for the 2026 Round Ireland Yacht Race, with crews encouraged to take advantage of the early bird entry window before the deadline.

Organised by Wicklow Sailing Club in association with the Royal Ocean Racing Club and the Royal Irish Yacht Club, this iconic offshore race covers approximately 704 nautical miles around Ireland’s coastline, making it one of the most challenging and rewarding events on the calendar.

Starting from Wicklow Harbour on Saturday, 20 June 2026, the race will see monohulls begin at 13:00, followed by multihulls at 13:10. Crews will sail clockwise around Ireland, keeping offshore islands to starboard, before returning to Wicklow after a demanding and varied offshore passage.

Entries opened on 14 January and will remain open until 31 May 2026, with early bird discounts available for a limited time. With strong interest already building, crews are encouraged to secure their place early and benefit from reduced entry rates.

The race continues to attract a wide range of competitors, from high-performance racers to competitive cruiser fleets, with both Irish and international teams expected on the start line.

Pre-race registration and safety inspections will take place in mid-June, ahead of prizegiving celebrations on Friday 26 June.
