THE ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR PROGRAMME

As clubs and Training Centres across Ireland gear up for the summer season, the Assistant Instructor Programme is helping young sailors take their first steps into leadership afloat.

Delivered locally by the Senior Instructor, the programme builds confidence in communication, briefing delivery, and skill demonstration, supporting the development of the next generation of instructors.

The programme is ideal for youth sailors progressing through their SBSS Advanced Modules who are ready to move from capable sailor to instructor candidate. Participants must be at least 15 years old and hold the relevant SBSS Advanced Modules.

On completion, participants receive a recognised qualification through their Irish Sailing Passport. Speak to your Senior Instructor to get involved and prepare for summer.
