FINN LYNCH WITHDRAWS FROM PRINCESS SOFÍA DUE TO ILLNESS

Finn Lynch has withdrawn from the remainder of the Trofeo Princesa Sofía Regatta due to illness.

After a strong build-up to the opening event of the Sailing Grand Slam series, Lynch will now turn his focus towards recovery, with expectations that he will return to full fitness ahead of the next event in Hyères.

Development sailor Fiachra McDonnell has also been impacted and continues to monitor his condition, while remaining as involved as possible within the competition environment.

While it is disappointing for both sailors to step back from racing, health remains the priority at this stage of the season. The wider squad continues to compete in Palma, with valuable early-season experience still being gained across the fleet.
