Irish Sailing has confirmed that the 2026 Watersports Inclusion Games will take place in Galway City on 11-12 July 2026.
Now entering its eighth year, the Watersports Inclusion Games continue to showcase the power of sport to bring communities together while providing welcoming opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy activities on the water.
This year’s event will be hosted in the beautiful setting of Galway Bay and will be delivered in collaboration with four local clubs: Galway Hooker Sailing Club, Galway Sea Scouts, Galway City Sailing Club and Galway Bay Sailing Club. Irish Sailing is grateful for the support of the Galway sailing community in hosting this special event.
The Games are designed to welcome participants of all ages and abilities, including those with physical, intellectual, sensory and learning differences, as well as anyone who may face barriers to accessing mainstream sport. Participants, along with family and friends, will have the opportunity to try a wide range of activities including sailing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, powerboating, dragon boating, snorkelling and windsurfing.
Irish Sailing also looks forward to working again with partner organisations including Canoeing Ireland, Diving Ireland and Dragon Boats Ireland to deliver another memorable and inclusive event.
Mark the date in your calendar and start planning your trip to Galway- we look forward to welcoming everyone back on the water for the 2026 Watersports Inclusion Games.
