IRISH SAILING WELCOMES A NEW EDUCATIONS AND PROGRAMS OFFICER
COLUM MCAFFERY
Born and bred on the water. Irish Sailing is also delighted to introduce Colum to the team. He brings invaluable expertise to the team as our new Education and Programmes Officer. He comes with a diverse background supporting, developing and implementing training and activity in club, commercial and volunteer settings.
A seasoned boater, Colum holds advanced dinghy, keelboat and powerboat instructorships, complimented by his yachtmaster certificate.
His passion for sailing and youth development is evident through his contributions to organisations such as Scouting Ireland and Sail Training Ireland, where he champions inclusive access to watersports and fostering the next generation of Irelands mariners.
Colums commitment and unparalleled energy was previously recognised by Irish Sailing awarding him the Volunteer of the Year Award. With a proven record of project management, operations and events, Colum is poised to drive positive initiatives and supports across our sailing community.
