Invitation to the Watersports Inclusion Games 2017
A FREE event celebrating sailing, rowing and canoeing activities for people of all abilities from the physical, sensory, intellectual and learning difficulty spectrums and representing all ages, demographics and socio-economic backgrounds.

The Games are aimed primarily at secondary school-going boys and girls along with their families and friends, but are open to all ages to participate. Equipment will be provided. A programme of regional pre-event training is available for volunteer clubs and organisations however previous experience is NOT mandatory in order to participate in the games.

Clubs, organisations and community groups working with people with disabilities or from disadvantaged areas who are interested in bringing a group or individuals, or in having a presence at the expo element of the event, are invited to register their interest (see below) in what is to be an exciting and landmark occasion.
Clubs and organisations associated with sailing, rowing and canoeing, who already offer inclusive activities or who are interested in increasing their inclusive approach to training, are also invited to register their interest in attending the event or having a presence at the expo.
Volunteers are required and those who would like to volunteer at the even are also invited to register their interest.
Participant Booking: Contact Watersports Inclusion Games Co-ordinator Johanne Murphy at firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest as a participant. Participants can register as an INDIVIDUAL (+ up to 2 guests) or as an ORGANISATION booking as a group.

Volunteer Training: Free Inclusion training for registered volunteers (see above) will take place on the following dates:
- • 10th June: Royal St George Yacht Club Dun Laoghaire
- • 11th June: Howth Yacht Club
- • 17th June: Royal Cork Yacht Club
- • 18th June: Galway Bay Sailing Club
Basic awareness training will be 10am – 1pm
Waterspouts Activity Inclusion training will be 10am – 5pm
– Booking of Inclusion Training is FREE and now available to book in the ISA shop here.
– You will be notified which type of training to attend via the event co-ordinator after registration.
– Alternate arrangements can be discussed for volunteers who have difficulty attending on these dates.

The event is organised by the Irish Sailing Association in association with Canoeing Ireland, Irish Sea Scouts, Dun Laoghaire Sailability, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and hosted by Royal St George Yacht Club.
