SBSS Assistant Instructor Pre-requisites:

• Minimum age 15 years;
• Hold one of the following certificates;- Advanced Boat Handling, Kites & Wires, Adventure Skills or Start Racing;
• 16yrs plus, require Garda Vetting through Irish Sailing;
• 16rs plus, require Sport Ireland Safe Guarding 1.

SBSS Instructor Pre-requisites:

• Minimum age 17 years;
• Dinghy/Keelboat/Catamaran SBSS Pre-Entry-Practical-Guidelines completed within last 12 months
• Valid Emergency Care Certificate from approved course;
• Garda Vetting clearance;
•  Sport Ireland Safe Guarding 1;
•  Irish Sailing National Powerboat Certificate (Level 2);

    – With certificate endorsed for both tiller and console controls,
    – With 20 hours power-boating logged following certification.

Powerboat Instructor Pre-requisites:

• Powerboat Pre-entry assessment completed within last 12 months;
• Valid Emergency Care Certificate from approved course;
• Garda Vetting clearance;
• Recommendation from Club Officer or Centre Principal.
• Sport Ireland Safe Guarding 1

Go! Windsurfing Instructor Pre-requisites:

• Minimum age 17 years;
• Have all Go4it! modules completed and signed off for strong wind conditions;
• Valid Emergency Care Certificate from approved course;
• Garda Vetting clearance;
• Hold the Irish Sailing National Powerboat certificate endorsed for both tiller and console.
