Location - Lough Derg Yacht Club SBSS Senior Instructor Pre-requisite requirements for this course: Min 19 years; Recommendation from Centre Principal; Valid first aid certificate; Safeguarding 1 - Certificate; Valid Garda Vetting clearance; Hold a valid Sailing Instructor (Dinghy, Catamaran, Keelboat) Certificate; Must have completed the SBSS Instructor pre-entry assessment within the last 12 months; or hold a Small Boat Sailing Scheme Advanced Instructor qualification; Must hold an Irish Sailing Safety Boat Certificate; Must have at least 50 days working as an Irish Sailing SBSS Instructor teaching SBSS courses spread over 2 seasons in 2 or more different organisations.

Upon successful completion of this Pre-entry Assessment you will be eligible to attend an Irish Sailing Instructor Course. Please now take time to get your course pre-requisites in place: Irish Sailing National Powerboat Certificate and Log, Valid Emergency Care Certificate, Current Irish Sailing Garda Vetting Clearance, Valid Safeguarding 1 Certificate and Current Valid Irish Sailing Membership These need to be in place before, and not after, you attend the Instructor Course
