1. Level 2 Regional & National Race Officer course
- Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March 2022
- 10:00 to 17:00 hours both days
- €80 including lunch

Who is this course for?
Open to all local and regional race officers.
- All attendees MUST be already recognised Race Officers
- Minimum age 16yrs.
- Any equipment necessary: Note taking materials.
2. Local Umpire Course
- Monday 28th and Wednesday 30th March 2022
- 18.00 to 21.00 hours both evenings

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone interested in improving their umpire skills. Both Match and Team Racing use a system of umpiring, in which penalties are imposed during the race, avoiding, for the most part, the need for conventional protests.
- Minimum age 16yrs.
- Equipment necessary: Note taking materials. Presentation will be available post-session.
3. Race Event Management and Support Conference
Who is this weekend for?
All levels of participants in Race Management and Support are welcome to this great weekend.
Attendance at this conference is part of the revalidation process for all race officials.
4. Local Mark Laying Course

Who is this course for?
Open to anybody interested in Mark Laying as a Race Official. A mark layers main responsibilities are for laying marks to set the course for a race an also give information to the Race Officer on wind strength and direction at any time across the course area. Mark layers usually work from a fast power boat equipped with GPS. Ideally there will be more than one mark laying boat to facilitate speedy course alterations for wind direction changes.
- Minimum age: 16 years. MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED NATIONAL POWERBOAT COURSE IN ADVANCE OF ATTENDING THE COURSE

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone interested in improving their racing skills or if you are starting out as a sailor and want to know the rules. The talk is an interactive session on how to use the racing rules to your advantage. All are welcome!

6. Irish Sailing Race Official Training Weekend
- Lough Ree Yacht Club - 14th and 15th of May
- Chose from 5 different courses to get you started, expand what you already know or as a refresher for your skills: Race Officer, Safety Leader, Mark Layer, Results Manager and Protest Committee
