Women at the Helm is a unique opportunity to step up, take the helm and inspire others to follow and be the best that they can be ... on and off the water.
Moving from crew to helm or from club event to national event, taking the helm on a keelboat or dinghy sets the seed to empower other girls and women.
"2019 saw over 200 sailors take to the water is high winds and challenge themselves to some incredible sailing in dinghies and keelboats of all sizes. The atmosphere was electric and the sense of support and teamwork was like nothing I have experienced before. I am really looking forward to bringing that energy to my home county of Cork at Royal Cork Yacht Club this September." Irish Sailing Women in Sport Officer, Gail MacAllister
