Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club is currently seeking applications for the position of Boatperson, supporting the day-to-day operation of one of Dublin Bay’s most active sailing clubs.
Reporting to the Commodore, the successful candidate will play an important role in facilitating the smooth and professional delivery of sailing activities, boatyard operations and member services, both afloat and ashore.
The role is ideally suited to someone with previous experience in a boatyard, marina or marine environment and a strong practical knowledge of boats, maintenance and on-water operations. The successful applicant will be reliable, hardworking and capable of working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential, as the position involves regular interaction with members, volunteers and visitors. As with many roles within the marine and leisure sector, flexibility is required, including occasional evening, weekend and holiday work during busy periods.
Candidates should possess an appropriate combination of powerboat handling qualifications, maritime safety knowledge and practical maintenance skills.
This is a full-time, year-round position, with salary and remuneration dependent on experience.
