Irish Sailing is delighted to welcome Emmanuella Asemota as our new Membership Administrator.
Emmanuella, who holds a Masters from Dublin City University, joins the organisation at an exciting stage in the rollout of Irish Sailing’s new Membership Management System (MMS). As the primary point of contact for affiliate clubs throughout the implementation process, she will play a key role in supporting clubs during every stage of the transition.
Her responsibilities will include working closely with clubs during requirements gathering and validation, supporting data migration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and providing onboarding, training and ongoing support as the system is introduced.
Drawn to Irish Sailing by the strong sense of community within the sport, Emmanuella is passionate about supporting affiliate clubs and ensuring their voices are represented throughout the project. She brings extensive experience working with communities and volunteers, most recently through her roles with the Galway International Arts Festival and Phoenix FM.
Her appointment provides affiliate clubs with a dedicated and consistent point of contact within Irish Sailing, helping strengthen communication and ensuring clubs receive the support they need throughout the MMS rollout.
Speaking about the new system, Emmanuella highlighted the value of giving clubs access to clearer, real-time membership information to support administration, communication and event planning. This includes helping clubs quickly identify members who hold relevant safeguarding and Garda vetting certifications when organising junior activities and events.
Emmanuella is looking forward to connecting with clubs and meeting members from across the country over the coming year.
