What do we do and how can we help you
  • The ISA has a range of training courses that introduce new participants to watersports and then develop their skills into lifelong participants.
  • The ISA’s range of shore based and safety courses ensure that participants at every level are equipped for every eventuality.
  • Through the network of training centres the ISA has in place a national accreditation programme for the providers of watersports. This assures participants of internationally recognised standards of safety, instruction and facilities as well as a recognisable brand.
  • Roughly 400 ISA instructors and coaches are trained and certified each year gaining qualifications that are recognised and regarded around the world.
  • The ISA offers a range of government backed certification services for both recreational and professional boaters for use in Ireland and abroad.
  • The ISA supports affiliated organisations in developing and implementing training and activity programmes to young and old. ISA clubs offering junior training exclusively to members can avail of this service for free.
  • The ISA has a developed a range of publications, guides and resources exclusively for the use of ISA training centres and course participants.
  • The ISA is constantly interacting with a range of agencies to ensure that our training programmes reflect participant’s needs, mirror best practice and carry appropriate accreditation and recognition.
  • Garda Vetting is available through the ISA.
