What is an Irish Sailing Senior Instructor?
An Irish Sailing Senior Instructor is a Leader, Mentor, Manager, Technical Expert, and Instructor within an Irish Sailing accredited training centre.
Who can become one?
An experienced valid Instructor, 19years or over, with their Safety Boat cert and a recommendation from Club Officer, Centre principal or another Senior Instructor. Full details are available HERE.
What do they learn on a Senior Instructor Course?
The course covers leadership, mentoring, course programming, risk assessment, communication and all of the other skills required to take on the task of leading a team of Irish Sailing Instructors and to provide safe and effective delivery of Irish Sailing accredited training courses.
