Brexit is Nearly Here

How will Brexit effect UK citizens sailing?

A number of questions come to light as we move into Brexit and more will be clarified when talks are finalised. In the meantime we have been liaising with the Royal Yachting Association regarding the impact on British sailors and UK registered boats.

The British Government Notice 8 for Sailing Your Pleasure Craft to and from the UK is helpful - Notice 8: sailing your pleasure craft to and from the UK - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

We hope to get more clarifiation in the New Year from the Department of Transport in the New Year, but in the meantime the RYA have an extremely useful Brexit FAQ page that may be of interest to any Irish sailors with British registered boats or citizenship. Including ICC, movement of vessels, professional qualifications and more.
