Who is your Volunteer of the Year ?

We’re looking for your nominations for the Irish Sailing Volunteer of the Year Award !

The Virtual Irish Sailing Awards are taking place online on the evening of February 11th 2021, 7.00-8.00pm. Like last year, we’re having a virtual celebration to ensure we keep everyone as healthy and safe as possible.  And while we may not be able to get together in person, there’s still much to celebrate.

We know that volunteers are the backbone of our sports, but 2020 was a year like no other. It’s seen many people make an incredible contribution in responding to people’s needs during Covid-19 and going above and beyond in their daily lives to help others. You can now shine a spotlight on them !

The Irish Sailing Volunteer of the Year has been reintroduced, and is an award which aims to celebrate and recognise the hundreds of remarkable people across the country who selflessly give their time and talent to benefit others in our sports. Anyone can nominate a volunteer. The only requirement is that they give their time voluntarily and without pay. They can be of any age but must volunteer with an Irish Sailing affiliated organisation.

You can nominate your Irish Sailing Volunteer of the Year on the link below (deadline Sunday 10 Jan 2021):

All nominees will be invited the 2020 Virtual Irish Sailing Awards taking place on Thursday 11 February 2021 at 7.00- 8.00pm. The winner will be announced at the ceremony.
