WINDSURFING AND WINGING CONTINUE TO GROW IN IRELAND

Windsurfing and winging continue to grow in popularity across Ireland, with Irish Sailing Training Centres offering wind and wing programmes already reporting strong early bookings ahead of the summer season.

These dynamic and accessible watersports provide an exciting way to get on the water, whether you’re completely new or looking to build on existing skills. With modern equipment and structured programmes in place, there are clear pathways for progression at every level.

Alongside participation at Training Centres, a busy calendar of competitive events is delivered by partners at the Irish Windsurfing Association. Their events programme offers opportunities for sailors to get involved in racing and freestyle competition, while also building a strong and connected windsurfing community nationwide, beginning with the first event of the season this Saturday and Sunday in Newtownards, Co.Down. See the full list of events here.

If you’ve never tried it, now is the perfect time to get involved. Find your nearest provider and learn more at sailing.ie.
