Irish Sailing is seeking to recruit an Accounts Manager to join its team. Reporting to the CEO, the role will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s financial operations and supporting the delivery of Irish Sailing’s programmes across both High Performance and Core activities.
As the National Governing Body for sailing, powerboating and windsurfing in Ireland, Irish Sailing works to facilitate active life on open water by developing, supporting and promoting the sport at all levels — from recreational participation through to international success.
The Accounts Manager will play a key role in ensuring financial operations are maintained in an accurate, efficient and compliant manner. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing monthly and annual management accounts, overseeing invoicing and income collection from affiliated clubs, and carrying out account and bank reconciliations.
The role will also manage payroll processes, support budget monitoring and forecasting, maintain relationships with key financial stakeholders and oversee the preparation of the annual audit. In addition, the Accounts Manager will assist with financial reporting related to funding received through Sport Ireland and ensure financial processes and procedures are well documented and continuously improved.
Candidates should have a minimum of five years’ experience in financial reporting, budgeting and accounting operations. Experience with Sage Accounts and Payroll, strong IT skills and the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders are essential.
The role will be based at Irish Sailing’s head office in Dún Laoghaire, with hybrid working options available. The position may be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, with salary commensurate with experience.
