One of the most exciting events on the sailing calendar is about to go live! Over the past two months Irish Sailing have been looking for expressions of interest from clubs around the country for the 2026 Irish Sailing League. Now it is time to go from interested to let’s do this.

For those who missed the earlier notices, the event features 15-minute umpired fleet races. The action is fast and furious. Teams compete in up to 30 short races across the weekend, with minimal time between starts. One or two teams rotate off the water while the others race, keeping the action continuous and demanding both physical and tactical consistency.
Boat rental is included in the entry fee for teams made up of five mixed-gender sailors representing one home club. The event is run in collaboration between Irish Sailing and Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School who will supply the fleet of equalised J80 boats.
