From Monday 2nd March to Sunday 8th March, Women in Sport Week offers an opportunity to celebrate the contribution, achievement and impact of women and girls across every level of sport in Ireland. At Irish Sailing, it is a moment to recognise the talent, commitment and leadership of female sailors who are shaping our sport- from club racing and volunteering to high-performance campaigns on the international stage.
Throughout the week, we will be highlighting some of the outstanding women making waves on Irish waters. From rising young sailors to experienced competitors, race officials and coaches, their stories reflect the strength and diversity of our sailing community. Keep an eye on our channels as we share profiles, insights and achievements that showcase the depth of female talent within Irish Sailing.
What better way to continue the celebration than by looking ahead to the Women on the Water Regatta, taking place on 13-14 June in the National YC in Dún Laoghaire. This dedicated event brings women together to compete, connect and build confidence on the water in a supportive and empowering environment.
Women in Sport Week is about visibility, opportunity and inspiration. Whether you are new to sailing or have been involved for years, this is your week to get involved, get inspired and get out on the water.
