TRAINING CENTRE RECOGNITION REQUIREMENTS

Irish Sailing has published the 2026 Training Centre Recognition Requirements, which are now live and supersede all previous versions. These updated requirements set out the standards expected of recognised training centres and support the continued delivery of safe, high-quality instruction across all Irish Sailing programmes. Accredited centres will be contacted later this month with details of the 2026 renewal process.

The recognition framework provides assurance around instruction, safeguarding, risk management and operational standards for sailing, powerboating and windsurfing. It ensures that centres operating within the national system meet consistent benchmarks and offer participants a safe and professional learning environment.

As the national governing body, Irish Sailing invites clubs, schools, community groups, marinas and boating organisations to consider joining the national network of recognised training centres. With more than 100 accredited centres currently delivering programmes nationwide, recognition offers credibility, support and alignment with national standards.

Organisations interested in becoming an Irish Sailing Training Centre are encouraged to review the 2026 requirements and engage with the recognition process to be part of a trusted, quality-assured national training network.
