The Irish Sailing League takes place on the 18- 19 April 2026 at the Royal Irish Yacht Club in Dún Laoghaire in J80 one design keelboats. The event features 15-minute umpired fleet races sailed and boat rental is included in the entry fee. Teams are made up of five mixed-gender sailors representing one home club.
The League is designed to deliver fast, high-intensity racing. Instead of a small number of long races, teams compete in up to 30 short races across the weekend, with minimal time between starts. One or two teams rotate off the water while the others race, keeping the action continuous and demanding both physical and tactical consistency. All boats are supplied and prepared by the Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School, meaning results are determined purely by crew skill, teamwork and decision-making rather than equipment advantages.
