IRISH UNIVERSITIES SWEEP THE PODIUM IN OXFORD

Trinity College Dublin secured overall victory at the Top Gun Invitational hosted by Oxford University Sailing Club, following two days of competitive racing in the UK. The regatta featured eight university teams including UCD, and was sailed in a three-round round-robin format, with each crew completing 21 races across the weekend.

Trinity College Dublin and UCD met in the finals, producing an all-Irish final series at the event and highlighting the strength of the Irish University Sailing Association on the international stage. Trinity secured a clean sweep in the final series to claim the Top Gun Trophy.

On the Trinity team was Sam Ledoux, Georgia Goodbody, Trevor Bolger, Conor Lynch, Harry Twomey and Orla Gilroy. On the UCD team was Conor Gorman, Lily O’Dwyer, Jacques Murphy, Kate O’Connor, Archie Daly and Emily Khan.

Congratulations to both teams on their excellent performances and to Oxford University Sailing Club for the successful organisation of the event!
