Sienna Wright is competing at the U21 World Championships in Lanzarote, where the conditions have been challenging. The championships run from 19 to 24 January, with twelve races scheduled to decide the world titles, and a total of 148 sailors from seven ILCA regions competing off Marina Rubicón.
The regatta has been dominated by shifting breezes that have been testing for the young sailors and the race officials. Sharp wind changes, fluctuating pressure and strong currents have disrupted the schedule, causing general recalls, course resets and postponed races.
Despite this, Sienna Wright is placed in the very strong position of 15th at present in the large fleet and unpredictable breeze.
