The Irish Sailing Dinghy Champion of Champions cup will take place on the 4th and 5th October in the Royal Cork Yacht Club, Crosshaven, Cork.
The event will be punctuated with a causal and relaxed dinner on the Saturday evening for the invited helms and crews. A total of twelve Helms are invited from across the adult dinghy classes that are sailed in Ireland to compete against each other and establish the Dinghy Champion of Champions 2025.
The National 18 dinghy will be used for this event – an adult three-person dinghy which is both exciting and exhilarating to sail , where all boats being used for the two day event will be fully equalised.
The racing format will consist of two initial qualifying flights with six sailors in each – the top two from each flight will automatically qualify for the final , while the remaining helms will have a further opportunity to qualify through a repechage series. The Final is scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon for what we hope will be a highly competitive event amongst the best of the best dinghy sailors throughout Ireland.
