RAMOR WATERSPORTS INCLUSION CAMP

Ramor Watersports Club Hosts Inspiring 5-Week Inclusion Camp

Ramor Watersports Club recently wrapped up a hugely successful five-week Inclusion Camp, which concluded on Tuesday, 3rd June. Now in its third year, the programme continues to grow in impact and participation, offering a meaningful and memorable experience for all involved.

Over the five weeks, 18 children with additional needs, along with their parents and siblings, took to the water in a range of accessible boats, including the Hawk Sailboat, the V21 Wheelyboat (centre console), and a Jeanneau with tiller control. Each participant had the opportunity to helm the boats under the supervision of trained volunteers — a unique and empowering experience for many.

The camp was supported daily by a dedicated team of eight volunteers, with two crew members on each boat, including a designated safety boat ensuring the well-being of all participants.

To mark the final day, Ramor Watersports Club provided all participants with Inclusion T-shirts and reusable water bottles.

This outstanding initiative reflects Ramor Watersports Club’s strong commitment to inclusion, community, and creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy the water. Irish Sailing is proud to support and share in the success of programmes like this, and we look forward to seeing it return next year, even bigger and better.
