OCEANS OF HOPE

The charity Oceans of Hope Challenge along with MS Ireland held their second introduction to sailing event at the INSS on Wednesday.

The event was for people living with Multiple Sclerosis and turned out a wonderful day for all involved.  The participants were a truly a magnificent group who took on the challenge to go sailing, many for the very first time. The weather was kind and there were even some porpoises around Dalkey Island joining in the fun!

Sailing is such a great sport for people with MS as it is both a physical work-out and a mental challenge combined.

Oceans of Hope Challenge is a charity for people with MS run by people with MS. There are many events held throughout out the summer in many locations across the globe, check on their website oceansofhope.co.uk for more information.

A special thank you to Shona and Zigzy from the INSS who did such a wonderful job minding the sailors on the day. Hopefully this is the beginning of many sailing adventures…
