Congratulations Goes Out to Michael O’Suilleabhain
Despite mist, rain and several transport hiccups, it was a cracking weekend of sailing at the Irish Sailing All Ireland Junior Championship hosted by Fastnet Marine & Outdoor Education Centre in Schull. Patchy winds on Saturday resulted in six races in quick succession with everything to play for on the second day, which dawned misty and blustery. An exciting medal race ended in Micheal O’Suilleabhain of Kinsale Yacht Club claiming the champion of champion All Ireland title, with crew Michael Carroll. In second place was Rian Geraghty-McDonnell of National Yacht Club Dun Laoghaire with Harry Durcan, and in third place Loghlen Rickard also of the National YC with Nathan Van Steenberge. First Girl was Leah Rickard with Kate Fahy. For the full list of results go to https://www.sailing.ie/racing/all-ireland-sailing-championships-2017/2017-all-ireland-juniors-championships/
