ISA Youth Sailing is run by the Olympic Division of the ISA. The funding to support the structures and initiatives is provided by the High Performance department of the Irish Sports Council. The Olympic Division of the ISA invests in squads and coaching programmes within Youth sailing in Ireland in order to develop the standard of young sailors and help them to progress towards their long term Olympic ambitions.
Within ISA Youth Sailing a 'Performance Pathway' has been designed to help sailors, parents and clubs understand how best to progress within the ISA Junior, Youth and Olympic programmes. We currently support a pathway of classes for sailors from 9 years old up to Olympic aspirants. The pathway currently compromises seven ISA supported squads at regional, national and international level.
