30 LADIES ON A WAVE 2010
There was a great turnout for the J80 Ladies Afternoon hosted by Howth Yacht Club on Monday 3rd May - 30 ladies enjoyed a very enjoyable afternoon, sailing J80s in beautiful Bank Holiday conditions. This was a great opportunity for female sailors to make the most of Bank Holiday Monday and get out sailing in the ISA J80s. Hopefully the ladies will be encouraged to take out the J80s again this summer having had the opportunity to get to know the boats. HYC will hopefully have some more ladies events throughout the summer!
The event was expertly organised by Laura Dillon (pictured with her crew) who went so far as to supply each boat with water and chocolate!! And Geraldine Eickholt, our latest WOW celebrity, from last week's Irish Times article was also present!!
After a fantastic afternoon's sailing, many of the stories from the water were told over a drink or two in the bar! A great way to end a wonderful weekend!
